Principal’s Welcome |

|
Welcome to the Cambridge Primary School website.
I arrived as the Principal at Cambridge Primary School in Term 2 2002 and joined a dynamic community. It is a pleasure to be part of such a dynamic school and proactive community. The children here are caring, cooperative and hard working, and I thoroughly enjoy working and seeing their growth and development. The staff at Cambridge Primary School are extremely caring and competent and provide a lovely working environment for the children. We are committed to doing our best to ensure the wellbeing of your child.
Our school’s policies and programs are based on the firm belief that all children will learn and grow as a result of:
· experiencing a diverse range of relevant and meaningful programs aimed at catering for the needs of each individual.
· experiences that actively foster the development of the child’s self esteem and confidence, giving opportunities to question and form opinions as values are clarified.
· developing self discipline and a sense of responsibility both as an individual and as a member of a group.
· an environment which is stimulating as well as safe, friendly and reassuring.
· an environment that values cooperative effort and has as its core a sense of togetherness.
· an environment that prepares our children for further education and for their place as responsible citizens of the world.
Our facilities are 17 years old, the school having been established in 1992. In 2003 we added 7 new permanent classrooms to the school which has lessened the number of temporary classrooms and improve the layout of the school. The environmental development around the classrooms to accommodate these new buildings has also been completed. In 2009 we have added a new community facility which will also be used for Out of School Hours Care. |

I have a personal commitment to parents, teachers and students working together to achieve the best possible educational outcomes. If you have concerns about your child's education, please contact the classroom teacher, Principal or Assistant Principals to set an appropriate time to discuss the issues. Good communication is essential. We can work together to reach an agreement on what is best for your child, and this is as important to us as it is to you and your child. |
