In 2005 the 16 Habits of the Mind were introduced to Cambridge Primary School. We have discovered that these habits are a description of what intelligent and successful problem solvers do when they are confronted with problems, challenges and dilemmas when solutions are not immediately apparent. These habits will better prepare our students to successfully meet the challenges that face them.
The Habits of Mind focus on the behaviours of learners and learning. They relate directly to the VELS domains of Interpersonal Development, Personal Learning, Communication, and Thinking and indirectly to all domains.
