Visual Arts - Students attend art classes taken by a specialist for an hour session each week. These sessions are in our modern, well equipped art room. Lessons include a variety of challenging and stimulating activities including clay modelling, wire construction, art appreciation, felt making, painting, drawing and print making.
Students art work is celebrated through vibrant displays throughout the school and within the community. Displays are set up at the local shopping centre and at the annual Wyndham Arts Festival.
Performing Arts - The Performing Arts program operates from Prep to Grade 3 and includes music, singing and drama activities. · There are mini performances for parents. · Music tubs to enhance the music program · Incursions are arranged each year for performers to visit the school. Visits from the Royal Australian Air Force Band, The Victorian Police Band, Victorian State Opera, Musical Acts and Performing Troupes complement the program. · Cambridge also participates annually in the Werribee River Arts Festival for schools.
School Choir - Cambridge has an active school choir that meets every week and performs regularly throughout the local community.
Artist in Schools- This program also compliments the Performing Arts program depending on funding and grants applied for annually. In 2005, we had a musician teaching children to write songs and record with sound mixing and in 2006 a dance teacher was employed.
