At Cambridge Primary School students have the opportunity to study and be immersed in the Italian language and culture from Years 4 to Six. 

 

The LOTE room comes equipped with computer software, listening posts, games, Italian literature, Italian fact books, dictionaries, posters – both language and culturally based, classroom materials and class sets of Italian LOTE starter readers.

 

Skills taught in each year level are:

· Prep- Numbers 1-10; Colours; Greetings; Body Parts; and Common Phrases.

· Grades 1 and 2 - Numbers 1-20; Colours; Greetings; Weather and Common Phrases.

· Grades 3 and 4  Numbers 1-50; Greetings; Days of the Week; Months of the Year and Common Phrases.

· Grades 5 and 6-  Numbers 1-100; Greetings; Conversational Italian and Phrases.
