Our Science program covers topics on the Natural and Physical Worlds as outlined in the VELS (Victorian Essential Learning Standards). Science is incorporated into the schools Integrated Curriculum term units of work.  It is designed as an interesting and ‘hands on” program that is real for our students.

 

When students participate in science experiments at Cambridge we foster skills such as:

· Hypothesising

· Predicting

· Investigating

· Observing results

· Recording findings

· Making informed decisions

· Communicating that knowledge to others

 

We use a variety of resources to compliment our program such as:

· posters,

· science experiments in class.

· incursions and excursions such as out C.S.I.R.O day in Grade 3, visits from Skylab,  trips to Science Works, the Planetarium and Aquarium.
