At Cambridge Primary School, Humanities, which includes Geography, History and Economics at the Upper levels of Primary School, play an important role in our curriculum and appreciation of cultures, identity and our community. Classroom programs are in line with the VELS (Victorian Essential Learnings Standards). We believe Humanities should be part of a broad, general education for all students. Our students develop their understandings through an inquiry approach which allows them to take control of their own learning. Resources such as world maps, multimedia equipments, globes and atlases are provided for the students to use to assist in their learning.
The school provides students with the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills through a variety of presentations, for example: · Oral presentations · Dioramas · Multimedia · Performances |
